Event by Visually Challenged - Lets all contribute
Let us all volunteer and support this excellent program of "Orchestra by visually challenged people" on 10th May,2008.
Venue : Babu Jagajjivan Ram Function hall,Near Kotha pet Rythu Bazar,Hyd
Time : 5 pm to 9 pm
Agenda : Orchestra and songs by 'visually challenged'.
Donor pass : Rs.100/-

This event is being conducted by Mr.Subhash to raise funds for their next effort towards employing blind and providing lively hood.
Mr.subhash is born blind and with lot of struggle he is employed (8 Board Telephone Operator in Andhra bank,Koti). He works towards educating and employing visually challenged to help them live independently. He helped around 200 visually challenged for their lively hood.
He was Gen.Secretary for A.P Federation of Blind. During this tenure,he went around rural areas and realized that visually challenged in rural areas dont have any exposure and opportunities available.
He runs a hostel in Kothapet for visually challenged girls/women who dont have any kind of support. He also teaches them vocational courses. Currently he is supporting around 20 women in this hostel.
Their team manages pocket money and expenses by making and selling Agarbathis. He also helps those visually challenged people to get married. As the expenses are growing, they would like to start another small scale industry of "Chalk piece making" which would require an amount of 1 and half lakhs.
This event is being conducted to raise funds for their next small scale industry.

Planned Events for 2008
Saayam Cheddam community is funding education of 15 students at an orphanage house in Seethaphal mandi, we are planning to visit that orphanage house and gauge the situation of the orphans and discuss the way to motivate children to concentrate on studies.

- Clothes Donation camp for 15 poor girl students at Miyapur, clothes will be collected and disbursed to them, the incharge will be posting the collection points of clothes and other details in few days, keep checking your mail/orkut for the details

- Rejuvenate Jagan** life, Saayam cheddam community is funding Jagan's education (ICET coaching, Spoken English), we are planning to get him some part time job to support his family

- Awareness program among children of various orphanage houses on smoking, tobacco consumption, alcohol, AIDS and Sexually transmitted diseases.

- Ad hoc events, community members can take initiative like collection of text books, donation of blankets etc. Please provide information to Mr. Venu (Community owner), if any one have some plans

- Jagan comes from very abysmal background, it is imperative to get him into job/education and his entire community is dependent on him, special thanks to Anitha for coining him
- We need a tutor who can teach spoken English and C language at Miyapur for semi orphan girls
- Interested people can get there family members and friends for blood donation camp
